Justine Kish is about a 3-1 favorite to defeat Ji Yeon Kim at UFC on FOX 27 on Saturday night.
Kish is 6-1 in her career, but she’s coming off a loss to Felice Herrig in June of this past year, although Kim is 6-1-2 and coming off a loss to Lucie Pudilova. This battle is just one of six on the FS1 portion of the first card card, leading up to a four-fight principal card that contains Ronaldo Souza vs. Derek Brunson. Let’s look at Kish vs. Kim and UFC picks.

Justine Kish (6-1, 2-1 UFC)
Kish won her first four expert fights before she made her UFC debut in January of 2016. Kish won a unanimous decision against Nina Ansaroff and Kish followed up with a win over Ashley Yoder in December of 2016. The primary loss for Kish within her career happened in June of this past year, as she dropped a unanimous choice to Felice Herrig.
Kish will possess the home audience edge on Saturday, as she struggles in Charlotte. “It will make me somewhat nervous to know a lot of people from here will be coming to the fight,” said Kish into the Gaston Gazette,”But, to be honest, it may be one person out there or even a thousand people and I’m thinking the identical thing. I want to wear a fantastic show every time.” Kish will be battling Charlotte for the second time in her career, as she battled Grady Cole as an amateur in 2007.
Kish said that she has been training with longtime coach Jeff Jimmo, to prepare for this fight against Kim. “I typically don’t watch a lot of footage of my competitions,” said Kish,”But I have watched a lot of footage . We have studied it multiple times and I believe I will have a great strategy.”
Ji Yeo Kim (6-1-2, 0-1 UFC)
Kish was a pro since 2013. She fought to 2 pulls in her first two pro fights and she is 6-1 since. She’s three wins by entry and two by knockout. She’s one first round finish.
The line on this battle is surprisingly packed with Kish about a 3-1 favorite. I really do think that the move up in fat will help Kish, as she seemed weak against Herrig and it is always pleasant to have the house audience edge. Kim landed some shots from Pudilova within her UFC debut, but still lost a unanimous decision. I lean toward Kish in this struggle, but I believe it will be a competitive fight and I am definitely not comfortable laying 3-1 at a struggle I believe will be close. I believe playing the rounds would be the better way to go. The rounds choice is recorded at 2.5 using the over listed at -260. Neither one of these two fighters have much power, and I can’t find either one obtaining an end unless one of them makes a significant mistake and gets caught in a grip. I will take the rounds to cover the total.
